About kathventures
Embedded development · Events · Hardware integrationA practical approach to embedded systems for live production.
kathventures was founded to support the event industry with dependable embedded development that understands the realities of touring, trade shows, and live hardware deployments. The owner remains active in live events, which helps keep the company close to current technology, real-world workflows, and the needs of actual users on site.
What defines us
- A small team with strong engineering focus and event-specific context.
- Practical solutions for hardware, integration, and deployment challenges.
- Clear communication and sensible technical decisions from concept to delivery.
Company history
From hands-on event experience to embedded engineering
kathventures grew out of hands-on experience in live production and the practical needs that come with touring, installations, and event technology. What began as a strong understanding of how systems need to perform in real environments gradually developed into a focus on embedded engineering and hardware integration.
That background shaped the company’s way of working: solve the underlying problem, keep systems dependable under pressure, and build solutions that are useful in everyday production settings rather than only in theory. The owner’s continued involvement in live events keeps that perspective alive and helps the company stay close to the people who actually use the technology.
Technical focus
RTOS work, microcontroller engineering, and hardware bring-up
Our core work is in embedded software for real-time systems, typically with RTOS-based applications on industry-standard microcontrollers. We mostly work in C and C++, and we are comfortable building reliable firmware from the ground up as well as extending existing platforms.
We regularly help bring customer PCBs to life, investigate hardware issues, suggest fixes, and add new features to existing boards. That combination of firmware work and hardware feedback is an important part of how we deliver practical solutions.
Our background
Engineered for real-world production environments
We work on firmware, control systems, and hardware integration where reliability matters. Our background in live production informs how we approach system architecture, maintainability, and deployment constraints, and it keeps us grounded in the way technology is actually used.
How we work
Close collaboration, clear thinking, and practical delivery
Projects often start with a technical question, an integration challenge, or a requirement that needs to be translated into reliable hardware behavior. We focus on understanding the context before proposing solutions.
